We believe innovation is a collision sport. The Hinkler Innovation Initiative exists to carry on the innovation spirit of Bundaberg's homegrown hero Bert Hinkler.

The Hinkler Innovation Award honours the pioneering spirit of Bert Hinkler’s legacy to continue innovation in the Bundaberg Region, through honouring outstanding local innovators. The award provides a platform to acknowledge the contributions of individuals and/or businesses that are driving innovation in the Bundaberg Region.
By nominating a local innovator, you provide them with recognition and elevate their profile in the Bundaberg Region’s innovation community.
Furthermore, being nominated facilitates opportunities through networking and the potential to foster mentorships, partnerships and collaborations. This platform is achieved through local promotion establishing the shortlisted nominees as thought leaders in the local community.
Nominations for the Hinkler Innovation Award are open to all Australian residents and businesses who are actively driving innovation in the Bundaberg region.
Nominations for the 2024 Hinkler Innovation Award will close on Friday 12th October.
